The International Cartographic Association (ICA) and the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of Chinese Academy of Sciences organize an International Summer School (SS) in Kashgar China (August 12-13)  titled “GIS and Sustainable Development of Central Asia” with a post -excursion to Tibet Plateau from Kashgar to Lhasa by Jeep for 11 days from August 13 to August 23. Some lectures will be given in the BUS on the way and in the field interactively. Some lectures will be done in Bishkek after excursion (25.08. or 26.08. 2009) before Third Central Asia GIS Conference GISCA’09.
